The vase features an octagonal mouth slightly slanted upward, a slender neck, broad shoulders, and a full-bodied belly that tapers downward, ending in a shallow ring foot. Both the inner and outer surfaces are coated with thin, uniform celadon glaze. Discovered in 1987 at the underground palace of Fufeng Famen Temple's Tang Dynasty pagoda in Shaanxi Province, this octagonal vase from the secret-colored porcelain of the Yue Kiln represents the pinnacle of celadon craftsmanship at the time. As a representative artifact of secret-colored porcelain unearthed from Famen Temple's underground palace, its design perfectly matches the poetic description in Lu Guimeng's "Secret-Colored Yue Porcelain": "Nine autumn winds and dew awaken the Yue Kiln, capturing emerald hues from a thousand peaks." The vase's excavation provides the first definitive physical standard for "secret-colored porcelain" while resolving long-standing debates about its concept in ceramic history. Its octagonal shape aligns with Buddhist teachings on the Eightfold Path, while the bamboo-joint patterns on the neck symbolize the spiritual practice of "progressing step by step" in Buddhism. The replica is made and fired by hand, with the glaze color mixed in one to one. The overall shape is elegant, dignified and regular, with smooth lines. The whole body is coated with bright celadon glaze, with
